      IT STARTED LIKE THIS ....

      The idea of establishing the Fair in Budva was born in 1966, according the the material of memory incorporation of Vojo Brinić. The initiative was launched by the Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism Association of Montenegro, the Association of Economic Advertisers Montenegro, the Company Ekonomska propaganda from Belgrade, under the auspices of the Association of Economists - propagandists of Yugoslavia.


      On the 6th August, 1967. the first trade event was opened in Budva. The first fair exhibition entitled "Tourism Exhibition" was opened by current President of the Municipality of Budva
      Mr. Vojo Brinić. The consumer goods of great importance was presented to the tourism industry. The organizer of the event was the company "Ekobomska propaganda" from Belgrade, whom the Municipality of Budva in early years gave way to manage the fair.
      The exhibition was attended by 60 companies from Yugoslavia, according to the press, visited by more than 30 thousand citizens. As part of the exhibition and trade fair in Budva, there were three associated events - "The National Arts of Yugoslavia" (organized by the Ethnographic Museum from Belgrade), "Maritime Montenegrin coast" (Maritime Museum of Kotor), and the Great Fashion Show (Center for contemporary clothing from Belgrade).

      Next 1968., the project for construction of the Adriatic Fair was finished and on the basis of the the next five pavilions and exhibition halls on an area of 3,000 square meters were built. The investor was the Assembly of Municipality of Budva, which was paid three million, a loan is secured by the investment bank in the former Titograd (Podgorica).


      Although, in the unfinished halls, in 1968, the second "International Tourism Exhibition". was held which was attended by 80 domestic and foreign exhibitors, and about 100 000 guests.
      Already, during the 1969. the six fair events were held with the participation of 420 domestic and foreign exhibitors and was visited by over 150 000 visitors.


      The first year of operation have confirmed that the establishment of the Adriatic Fair in Budva "hit", primarily because of its importance for tourism and for the overall economy of Montenegro.


      TODAY ....

      For its 40 or more years of existence, the Adriatic Fair has become a gathering place for the most successful entrepreneurs and collectives, place of presentation of the latest achievements, innovation, important business contacts. The place where from events to the event requires more space, makes a record of visits and sales of many products.


      The Adriatic Fair today organizes 15 specialized trade shows.
      A large number of foreign business delegations, the presence of world renowned companies, as well as media coverage, make the Adriatic fair business gateway to Montenegro.
      With its membership in international organizations fair: UFI (Union of International Fairs), CEFA (Central European Fairs Alliance), EASE (Exhibition Association of South East Europe), the Adriatic Fair affirms the State of Montenegro and its national economy.
